Tim's passion for birds & nature started at a very early age. However, it wasn't until his kayaking, canoeing & camping excursions that he felt the need to capture these experiences on film. Tim has pursued his bird photography across the continent, but now tends to focus more on his native Vancouver Island. Tim is a freelance nature photographer, specializing in avian, wildlife & nature photography. His bird photography has been published in many books, magazines, birding guides, nature and conservation publications. Tim's Steller's Jay photo was chosen from thousands of entries to be used as the representation image for the provincial bird on the BC Bird posters.

Tim primarily uses Nikon digital SLR bodies, Nikon lenses and Nikon Speedlights.

Digital Image Software

Tim uses Adobe Photoshop CS3, Adobe ACR 4.3.1, and all images are shot in NEF RAW format.
