All images are available for ordering in either
print or digital format.
Custom Prints
Prints can be ordered in either matt or glossy
finish. All print orders will be done in a professional custom lab. Prices,
including shipping to most locations within Canada and the USA are as follows:
- 5x7 = $30 US for the first print, and $20 US for
each copy of the same print thereafter.
- 8x10 = $40 US for the first print, and $25 US
for each copy of the same print thereafter.
- 11x14 = $50 US for the first print, and $30 US
for each copy of the same print thereafter.
- digital files for creating prints with your own
printer = $25 US for the first print and $20 US for each copy of the same print
thereafter.
Digital Files
Images can be supplied in digital format as either
NEF RAW, TIFF or high quality JPEG. They can be transmitted to publishers on CD,
DVD, email attachment, download from server or via ftp protocol. License can
vary greatly from publication to publication, and are generally based on
circulation, image size,
and placement. All fees are based on one time-usage. Due to the high volume of
requests, I can no longer provide free or donated usage. The investment in
equipment, time in the field, and digital editing is substantial for nature
photography. Compensation via negotiated license fees is expected for image use.
Slides / Transparencies
I have a fairly large image bank of birds photos
on transparencies. A few have been scanned in for the photo galleries. Original
transparencies can be sent to publishers for professional scanning on a drum
scanner. In fact, this is how most of my images have been published in the past.
Minimum prices for transparencies are the same as for digital files.
If the image size required for a particular
publication is fairly small, I can usually provide a hi-res scan that will do a
good job. This way the transfer can take place within one or two days and meet
the publication deadlines.
